CrossFit Strong Island is a premium, 7,500 square foot CrossFit strength and conditioning training facility located off Benson Lane in Merrick, Long Island, New York.

Our program efficiently combines the most effective training methods of Weightlifting, Gymnastics and High Intensity Cardio. There isn’t a strength and conditioning program anywhere that works with a greater diversity of tools, modalities and drills.

All of our training is done in a group class setting. The camaraderie of the group is what makes CrossFit and CrossFit Strong Island different than your regular run of the mill gym.

All of our staff are highly qualified fitness specialists, successful athletes and dedicated CrossFitters and coaches. We genuinely care about our members and how we can best impact their lives in a positive way.

Time: Kids fun run starts at 8:30am and 5k starts at 9:15

Where: John J. Burns Park

Meeting location: Near the registration table at 8:30am


When: Friday December 15, 2017

Time: 6pm – 9pm (The 90s band concert to follow)

Where: Mulcahy’s Pub 3232 Railroad Ave. Wantagh

Cost: $50 pp which includes open bar & buffet

Kids Classes

LAST Class is this Saturday 11/25/17.  There will be a kids CrossFit Open style competition starting at 10am for all children (all ages) involved (both Tuesday and Saturday).  Please let Kerry or Ralph know you’ll be attending AND wear your CFSI shirts!

Our newly structured Kids’ program has begun!. The new format will be an 8-week program with your choice of one or two days a week.


Drop off will remain at the main entrance however kids will be released out the side door (off the turf).

Kids Classes Timing:

Tuesday: Juniors – 4:30-5:15pm & Seniors – 5:15-6pm

Saturday: Juniors – 9-9:45am & Seniors – 9:45-10:45am

Junior ages 6-9 & Seniors ages 10-14

Open Mat:

Our afternoon open gym times will continue ONLY on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 11:30-3:30.
On Tuesday and Thursday we will be closed after our last morning class from 11:00am until 3:30 pm.
